Our Mission
We seek to serve the community by offering high quality programs for mental health and personal growth across the life span. We believe in a skills-based model working towards clear goals and objectives. These skills offer many people what they need to function well and thrive in their lives, and others find that learning and using such skills can prevent suffering that comes from painful experiences in life.
We also offer professional training and support for others in the mental health community. We are continuing education providers for mental health professionals (CAMFT/CPA/BRN). Our staff can also customize courses to meet your specific needs or those of your professional team.
We believe strongly in being able to increase availability of clinicians trained to offer comprehensive DBT. We implement this mission by partnering with a non-profit corporation and offering a field placement site for master’s or higher level pre-licensed clinicians interested in learning and providing comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) treatment. We also offer pre-licensed clinician discounts and scholarships for our professional trainings and collaborate with non-profit agencies to make the cost of staff training manageable.
Choices has been providing services throughout Southern California for more than 20 years. Our diverse experience includes clinical services, education and training, consultation and program implementation in both public and nonprofit organizations. We pride ourselves on being a resource in the community and have a long-standing commitment to “doing what works.”
