Karen Loette Snead is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. She is also currently completing hours towards obtaining her Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She began intensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in 2019, in addition to working in community mental health to provide care to those from underserved populations. Loette also has training in Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) and prolonged exposure for the treatment of PTSD and racial trauma (DBT-PE).
Loette hopes to provide a safe environment for clients to grow as they learn new ways of coping on the journey to building a life worth living. She is inspired by fostering a collaborative relationship where clients can grow to take ownership of their unique qualities and needs. She prioritizes culturally affirming care and celebrates the intersectionality of identity. Loette has a passion for learning and growing right alongside the clients she has the honor of working with.
